In this workshop, we will learn about plaster mold making. Starting with an understanding of plaster, we will experiment with its properties and uses. The final project involves creating and casting hand molds in pairs. Everyone will take home a mold and a casting!

Brad Willis is a studio artist living and working in Deer Isle, ME. Currently, he works from his studio making pottery and other ceramics, as well as working for Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. While an undergraduate at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Willis learned many processes in sculptural mold making and looks forward to sharing them with students in this workshop.
